Terms of Service and Refunds

1. What the Service is

PeppolInvoice.ie generates invoice files (a PDF and a UBL XML file in the EN 16931 / Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 format) from the details you enter. The Service is a software tool. It does not provide tax, legal or accounting advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you enter (including VAT numbers and the buyer’s Peppol ID) and for checking that the recipient can accept the file.

2. Accounts

• Give us accurate information when you sign up and keep your sign-in details secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be 18 or older. The Service is intended mainly for businesses and sole traders.
• We may suspend an account that breaches these Terms.

3. Plans and billing

• Free: 1 invoice per month, no payment details needed.
• Starter: €19 per month, 10 invoices per month.
• Pro: €49 per month, unlimited invoices.
• Pay as you go: €5.99 per invoice, one-time payment, no subscription.
• Current prices are always shown on the pricing page. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not give pro-rata deductions for the unused part of a billing period.

5. Refunds

• Subscriptions: we do not refund the unused part of a billing period that has already started.
• Pay-as-you-go: if you paid for an invoice and we were unable to produce the file because of a fault on our side, tell us and we will refund that payment or generate the file again, as you prefer.
• Billing errors: if you were charged twice or charged the wrong amount, we will correct it and refund the difference.
• To ask for a refund, use the contact form (choose “Billing or refund”) or email hello@peppolinvoice.ie. Please include the email you signed up with.
• Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under Irish or EU consumer law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including issuing false or fraudulent invoices;
• attempt to reverse engineer, scrape or overload the Service;
• resell or share access to your account without our written consent.

7. Your data and ownership

You own the invoice details you enter and the files you generate. You give us permission to process them only to provide the Service. The Service itself, its design and its software belong to us.

8. No warranty

We work to make the generated files conform to the Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 specification, but the Service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that every recipient system or access point will accept a file, or that it meets a particular buyer’s requirements. Please check important invoices before you send them.

9. Limit of liability

To the extent permitted by Irish law, our total liability for any claim connected with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction, without affecting any consumer rights you have to bring a claim in your own country.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will tell you by email or a notice on the Service. Continuing to use the Service after the change means you accept it.
